Her scarf was no longer covering her hair but was still wrapped around her neck and shoulders and she left it there. She didn't hear anyone else sitting at the table with her, or in the room for that matter so she went about getting up. It was easier thought than done, her whole body was stiff and the chair swiveled rather than moved back. Echo went with it and palmed the card table in Rec Room 1 where she woke, standing with an instability that faded as she stretched and rerelaxed herself. She was blind, couldn't see a damn thing and only knew enough about her surroundings to know she was in a room with only one notable exit. Sure there were locked hatches but they were almost as good as walls from her perspective and the cooler open draft from Vault Room 2 seemed like a way out of this room at least so that was where she intended to go. As she stepped around the half moon table she opened that satchel and pulled out her glove. Just one, the only tech she had on her besides it's ear piece, it had three fingers and two missing, the tips of those present had sensors which acted as her keyboard; the palm was fitted with a scanner which also would serve as her eyes in a manner. She was putting the ear bud in her ear as she crossed the threshold of the next room, even colder than the last. The cold, she realized, was coming from a room further starboard though she didn't yet know which way was which. Standing in that room she cautiously lifted that newly gloved left hand and began scanning with a sweep of her hand, trying to decern where she was, hoping the scanner would catch a marking or sign of some kind to indicate as much. Or maybe pick up another life sign within twenty feet of her; she amended that thought with friendly life sign. [DONE] Deadmans Heart: :: There was no one else in the room with him when he woke, the other three beds were empty. The gravity was lighter, he could tell. Before stepping into the dim white light of the Common Room he took a closer look at the room he was in. Also he realized all of his weapons were taken, his whole belt in fact. Nothing to be done about it the large man pilfered through the room. The porno was amusing but of no use and the dead stun pistol was just as disappointing. Zachariah took it and tucked it into the brim of his pants against the small of his back under his tunic. He left the bloody and slashed flight jacket where it lay. Eyes were sharp enough to see the kick-door yet he did not attempt to open in. He could not be certain but he had an inkling there might be traps and did not want to tempt fate so soon. Without further delay he stepped to the open doorway and peered briefly out to the left. Waiting a moment once again out of view, then sneaking a look to the right. Both sides were equally lit and just as cold as his room. Low sixties he was sure. It did not appear that anyone was in the area so Zachariah took that cautious step out toward the Common Room where there were other open doorways and what looked like halls. Toward the bow the fog clustered in the warmer Security Room caught his attention the most. He did not know what the room was any more than the room he was now standing in, but he was looking. It was a space station. JSS he suspected, at least once upon a time. Looking around the room he was not sure what it was now. Something was very wrong about this place. Very, very wrong. ::-d- A Vestige Within: Getting out of that blood-splattered room was a good start, but Jai was still shaken. His head was aching like a bitch, he was pissed that his vest was gone, and all he had on him now was a book with symbols in it that he didn't understand. Oh well, perhaps he could use that book as a weapon. Either way he was keeping it with him as he stumbled out of Crew Room 5 and set his eyes on the vault sitting in the middle of the open room before him. He squinted and took a few steps closer, glancing over his shoulder when he thought he heard movement elsewhere in the area. Was he dead? Was this some sick joke? He tucked the book in the back of his waistband and leaned into the vault to try and get a sense of what might be inside. He definitely wasn't one for breaking safes and frankly? He just wanted to get the hell out of where he was. He noticed the blue glowing data booths and took a few steps towards them. Perhaps they had answers? But he was still untrusting. "Hello!" Better to draw out his enemies rather than have them in hiding, laughing at him, if they were indeed around. He huffed and turned from the booths, he'd keep them in mind, but before he went touching anything, best to play it smart and analyze his surroundings thoroughly. . (D) AIive until Dead: When Jai stepped out into the Vault Room opposite the one she was in, he wasn't close enough for her to know he was there yet, even if he was within typical eyesight across the Common Room. Echonia was turning around in a slow circle waving her left hand with that odd glove on it as she scanned the Vault Room. She knew where she was now, Sector 13 Station and it made her want to vomit which brought the back of her right wrist to her mouth as she swallowed the feeling down. She knew the rumors more than most, she was the Tellurian Record Keeper and being on S13 was frightening. Echonia wanted to believe she was dreaming but as someone well acquainted with dreams she knew it wasn't. The cold suddenly wasn't just in the air anymore and she hugged herself reluctant to move but there was a voice calling out and it startled her. It was a he, and he was out of range of her tech to sense even though she could hear him just fine. He sounded convicted but cautioned which hinted to her he might be equally if not more confused than she was. Echo was debatably a tech-god but she couldn't wrap her mind around where the station had gone all those years ago much less how the hell she and whoever else were on it now. With an inhale of time since his shout, she called back; her own voice far more uncertain and questioning but projected. "Hello?" The H out of her mouth was thich with her Rush (Russian) accent. She was facing the Common Room still hugging herself with arms crossed over her chest half hiding the gloved hand, though he may have seen it already. Her head was tilted to aim her ear more his way so she could hear any reply given back before moving elsewhere. She was alive and standing where she was so it was safe as safe got right?[DONE] Bound but free: ::The JSS Comm-Officer standing in her panda pajams and tech-vest with bed-head-blonde hair as messy as her decision making process, stood before the painting-that-was-a-door and had the notion that NOTHING was right about this place or this situation. Part of her wanted to take advantage of the light gravity and try some moves she couldn't do otherwise, but most of her was still convinced this was a test of somesort. JUST as she was fingering the edge of the painting for a trip-wire as was SOP, that "hello?" sounded in a muffled and masculine voice from outside of her room and beyond. It made her jump, her fingertip-grip-of-a-free-hand-climber was enough to make her jump wretch the painting-door open a crack as she turned to the opened door of her room. Q hadn't even considered that there would be anyone else here because she was convinced this was her psyche eval, but just as she was convincing herself she imagined the sound, a feminine echo sounded almost more muffled with walls and walls between them. What the fuck?! Ash looked at the painting-door and debated on hiding behind it, or going out to see who was there. Neither voice sounded malicious, but then, if they were TRYING to psych her out, would they be malicious about their hello's? Was there someone else in the room next to hers? Abandoning the painting, she stepped next to the wall that was shared with ROOM 2, and listened closer, eyeing her opened door like she expected a wingo to walk through it at any moment... What the hell was going on here? For the moment, she neither opened the door, nor left her room. For now, she did what she does best: listening.::-d Deadmans Heart: :: Zachariah looked to the cargo door on the floor to his right as he stood against the wall to the right of his door. He could not see the Hunter from where he was, nor Lady Echonia. He recognized the male voice as Jai Cross but knew not the woman who answered him. His brows furrowed as he listened in wait. It was not either of the greeters whom he tendered his gaze toward. He thought he heard someone to his right and walked quietly toward that open door. It was away from the two he knew were already present and several steps from where he was. With the lighter gravity of the Common Room it was easier to be stealthy. It was not a wingo that looked into her room. His brooding skepticism lifted to surprised caution as baritone vocals quietly aimed to her. :: You. :: That made three who were at the diner that day. He looked her over with an inspecting slowness to be sure it was the same woman and not a very good look alike. Also because he liked pouty-mouthed blondes.:: -d- A Vestige Within: The moment he heard another voice repeat his word, he spun in the direction of it and narrowed his eyes. Someone else was here. Sounded like a female but it wasn't a voice that he immediately recognized. Judging by the tone of her voice as well as well? (Despite the accent) She was as lost here as he was. After a few moments of thought, Jai narrowed his eyes and began moving towards the sound of the voice. "Stay where you are, I'm coming to you!" He had yet to spot Zach, especially since he was being stealthy and sneaking in the opposite direction. But the change in gravity as he moved into the common room immediately stopped him. It took him a moment to adjust and adjust his steps that paused once the blonde woman was in sight. Damn him for not having a gun. She looked dressed well enough but he still kept his distance. "Who are you? Do you know where we are? What the hell is going on here?" Yeah, she probably didn't know anything more than he did. He had yet to realize that she was blind though he did shift his eyes about and eye the round couch with a light huff. Where was this? Was he even still on Midway? This was a fucking mind trip. . (D) AIive until Dead: [Forgot she wasn't standing in this room, she's floating. lmao] Floating, not standing, Echonia was at least right side up and holding onto the wall that separated two of the Databooths she knew where there but chose not to address because she was Lady Echonia LaVarjia to the public, not Echo La'Marr and she intended to keep it that way if she could. At least until she knew who she was dealing with. She didn't know that Zachariah was moving or that he was even there with the other woman, her attention was focused on the male speaking to her, who for the moment was the only one she knew to be on the Station with her. He sounded sure of himself when he spoke to her, commanding though she had no reason not to obey. Echo nodded, assuming he saw her and aimed her eyes to his voice with a long practiced skill and freakish accuracy. She tried to pinch her dress between her legs a little to make sure it didn't float up while she waited there, resisting the urge to scan him, rationalizing he didn't sound close enough yet anyway. The questions, all of which she had to to lie to except the last one and hated doing so even if it was for a good reason. "I am Lady Echonia LaVarrjia, I... think ve'rre on a space station... vich is vierrd because I vas on a ship beforre... you?" Her R's rolled out of her mouth with the flow of her accent as she replied. Offering as much as she could from the Lady's stand point and hoping he would offer the same and maybe a way out of the floating room. His voice sounded stationary enough she was sure where he was had gravity, which was also very weird to her and she was almost afraid to ask what he could see that she couldn't. The only thing that stopped her was not wanting to be counted the weak link so soon. Not if she could help it and besides, maybe she could fool him long enough not to make it an issue. [DONE] Bound but free: ::Ia felt her heart hammering harder in her chest as if it was somehow heavier. The sound wasn't from the room next door, it was outside her door and it was getting closer. Assuming (wrongly) that gravity was light everywhere, she estimated it was a man and not a wingo that approached the door and was going through a list of JSS personal, starting with her brothers. They would do a thing like this for laughs. Okay, maybe not THIS, but what she thought THIS was. Even so, she quietly backed up on near-bare feet and opened the painting-door to half-hide behind it just encase they brought tag-guns with them and were intent on humiliating her (and ruining her PJs) too. Of course, she mistook the spray for an airlock and didn't realize she was marked with pheramones that would make her all yummy for the critters when she halted in surprise to see the giant looking at her in similar surprise. Side-stepping back out from behind the half opened secret door, she realized she wasn't wearing a bra and the cold room had her nipples towering hard against the panda's eyes on her tank-top, Q jerked her vest closed over her chest and realized some things were missing from the pockets because of the way it fit against her. Instead of mentioning it, she blushed hot at the way he looked at her so closely like he was making sure she was...her. Who else would she be?! Pouting and glaring at the giant in confusion, she held her vest closed with one hand and the painting-door open with the other like a plan b escape route, not having looked yet and therefore not realizing she'd run into a crate before an electric wall if she tried. In a surpringly even and calm tone, she lifted her voice across the room to the big guy who was achingly dashing in that tunic and leather pants-n-boots ensemble. Mmm. Almost reminded her of the farm on Javos. THOSE were the days...:: Who are you? -d Deadmans Heart: :: Zachariah was expecting another man or a bloody body or an animal maybe. He was pleased to see the JSS woman, panda PJs and all. The combat vest was cause for question but he saved it to admire the view she was so quick to try to cover up. She blushed, he grinned. His left hand lifted to rub the scruff of his jaw with blatant consideration and amusement. Ocean-deep blues gave her no privacy in her moment of pinching. He assumed she believed she was in a dream, or questioned that anyway. This amused him further. He remained in the doorway and looked over his shoulder toward Cross as he came into the Common Room speaking to the woman. He listened to them and used his head to motion into the room assuming Cross would understand. He looked back to Q and the painting that was a door to a secret hold. The bright light of her room squinted his eyes some as he watched her question him with that angry pout. :: Zachariah, you make four... welcome to.. nobody fucking knows. :: He sounded as amused as his expression looked. Inside he was considering everything:: -d- A Vestige Within: Floating huh, odd indeed, but considering there had been a significant shift between the vault room and the common room, Jai wasn't all that surprised. Must be a malfunction in the gravity systems making some rooms stronger than others. A lady? strange indeed. He stared at her for a few moments, noting that she was trying to keep her dress from floating up with the rest of her while I considered whether or not he was going to answer her question. "...I was on Midway Station..." he stated dryly, "...why don't you move into here, I'm not going to kill you, whoever put us here took my weapons. And it's a bit more comfortable in this area..." Was that Zach? The light seemed to dim as it neared where he was, but that certainly looked like him. When he motioned inside that room, he moved without saying a word to Echonia and slipped up to Zach's side, peeking in at the familiar blonde Jissy in her panda pajamas. "Well well, look who decided to join us. Why is it that this is the second time shit has gone wrong and the two of you are around? Remind me to stay away from you two in the future... goddamnit." He didn't tell any of them about the book, not yet, he wanted to measure what they all knew first. . (D) AIive until Dead: Echonia didn't know if she wanted to move into the other room but she knew she didn't want to float around all day, not in a dress. She looked surprised when he said he was on Midway before all this which made her ponder if that had something to do with why they were here. He didn't say who he was though, instead he simply assured her he wasn't going to kill her. Not very reassuring actually but she gave him a faint smile and nodded her head. "I'm going to push ovff, prrobably best to stand aside. " She cautioned just before doing as she said she would. He was doing that, though not for the reasons she'd suggested and it wasn't until she was making a few running steps to catch herself in the change of gravity, that she realized there were others. Her steps were a bit bounding considering the still lighter than normal gravity of the Common Room. It was still a relief to have ground under her feet again and be it propriety or something else the woman lifted the shaw from her shoulders to once again cover her hair like a hood while she listened to their voices from near the round couch. Her enhanced hearing made it easy enough to hear what they said. They knew each other, at least somewhat. If they knew one another, why was she here? [DONE] Bound but free: ::Part of her furrowed brows was simply in sheilding her green hues from the bright lights, but the other part of it was hearing him put a number and title to them and their location. Fuck. This wasn't a JSS eval. Zachariah (if that was even his real name) was NOT JSS. Hearing more approaching footsteps and a distant feminine voice sounding like she was launching herself through space, Q zipped up her tech-vest to hide her panda-tank top and unbound breasts. Still fighting her blush and trying not to think what her Husband might say if he saw her now. By the time Cross stepped into view, she stood a little taller, and defiantly, as if she were determined not to be off-balance by her state of dress: JSS eval or not. Undoubtably looking ridiculous with the too-long PJ pants and tech-vest, the bed-headed blonde bit her lower lip with a more pointed glare past Zachariah to Cross who blatantly accused them both for being magnets for trouble. Even so, that lower lip popped free before she could stop herself from taking a step toward both men (realizing how much taller they were) and away from the opened painting-secret-door as if her proximity might make her words more impactful.:: YOU'RE the common denominator from where I'm standing- ...::Yes, she was trying to think of an insulting nickname to throw at him and came up blank. Being a linguist didn't always make talking easier, sometimes the options were too many to consider and pick-appropriately at a moments notice and eventually she just huffed out an exhale of defeat and slumped her shoulders slightly. Looking between both men and wondering why she couldn't hear the woman approaching, the Jissy did an aboutface (really funny in those PJs) and marched back into the secret room and the crates that she now saw were in there. No, she didn't think there were answers, she just didn't want to look at those two while she was still getting over the fact she was not dreaming and actually on a derilict ship or station in her PJs. Way to go Ia, they're going to take the vest from you next...::-d Deadmans Heart: :: The killer made room to allow Cross to look in at Q. While he cursed their being their like this was their fault he watched Echonia bound out of the hall to the left. He was not offended by the accusation. A bushy brow arched at the Lady covering her hair. Really? He smirked and rounded his eyes to Cross and then Q again as she pointed the blame back their way, or was it just Cross'? He chuckled a little when she made the about face. A side glance was turned to Cross and then to Echonia who did not appear to be interested in going anywhere. He did not shout yet when that bone-deep voice rumbled from his throat it carried. :: You are the woman who heads the What-Was Museum are you not? :: He knew the place because it was the easiest way onto MistHaven Moon for any commoner. He was skeptic of her because she was the odd duck among them. The one who seemed the least like the others. They had to start somewhere, he chose to start with her. :: -d- A Vestige Within: "Now now, throwing this back at me isn't going to get us anywhere, Panda Jissy. Don't get your nighties in a twist." he flashed a small smirk to Zach as he turned and followed his gaze to Echonia. "The What-Was Museum?" Yeah he knew of it. He'd just never been there. He crossed his arms over his chest and took a few steps towards the Lady, giving it a few thoughts and then eventually reaching to pull the book from his back. When he was standing a couple of feet from her, he held it out to her for investigation. "I found it in the room I was in. Under the bed. There was blood on the walls too. And there's a vault and some data booths but I didn't touch either of them. So, you know what this writing in here means?" He eyed her face carefully but something was a bit off. "Name's Cross by the way." He swiftly bellowed over his shoulder soon after, "Hey! We gotta stick together, strength in numbers and all that shit. If none of us can figure out what's going on here, then we're all inept. There's a reason for everything." . (D) AIive until Dead: Echonia thought it best to keep her distance for now because she had the same thought Zachariah did, or a similar one anyway. If she thought it, one of them might have and she was faced with the reality it might come down to truth or lie. If they caught her lying about not knowing anything they wouldn't believe her when she said she did would they? The booming vocals asking to validate who she was were of another man than the one she'd been speaking to before, he sounded just as tall though. It was the Hunter's who's voice echoed the question with a curiosity like he wasn't as familiar as the other man sounded with the Museum. She faked looking at them both, focusing on Zachariah when she answered. "That vould be me, yes." She confirmed, increasingly aware that the first man she'd encountered was now walking toward her. It made her a bit nervous but she remained relaxed and lifted her chin with that gesture of inquiry which matched her expression. She flicked those dead eyes to him, his face, following his stride with a slight sluggishness. It wasn't until he spoke that she realized he was holding something out for her and she used her gloved hand to accept it. The sensor in the palm allowed her to "see" the book she was reaching for as well as the hand that held it and part of the body it belonged to. The data came in a whisper of sound in her right ear like a special kind of morse code she'd designed... a long time ago. She looked a little mortified when he spoke of the blood on the wall, opening the book with the spine in her right palm so her left could slide over the pages and scan them in. She flicked her eyes off him to the book like she was actually looking at it now that she had the first bit of that page registered, her brows furrowing because she didn't know the code and didn't have her database with her to cross reference them. She shook her head and lifted her gaze to his face again, unaware of his inspection or notice to the slight inaccuracies of her visual aim. "I don't rercognize it, I am sorrry. But... I might know vherre ve arre... this Station I mean. I think it is Sector Thirrteen Station, therre arre rrrumorrs about it vanishing, vhich I vould think is insanity but.... I vas on a ship, you vherre on Midway..." She shrugged and offered the book back to him after she'd scanned the two pages she'd had opened to her, not wanting to be too obvious about it and scan the rest. With the book in her right hand she didn't have to wait for him to take it to tuck her left under her other arm a little as if to cross them. And she would if and when he took the book back, listening and looking toward the others at Crew Room 3; already Echo was trying to pull up her memories of the Stations layout.[DONE] Bound but free: ::Q picked up the little EMP-tech and nueralizer even though she didn't know what either was, they both turned on when she touched them and that meant power. Her power sources and capacitors were gone, and though she'd need to check to verify, she was pretty certain 'they' took one of her circuit boards too; the components most likely to be used to make a weapon. Hearing Zach's baritone outing Echonia, Q mouthed "what was museum?" without actually saying it and shoved the two devices into her vest pockets before she turned around without checking inside the crates. The one was so large she'd have to climb on the other to get leverage to pry it open or ask one of the guys and neither seemed as interesting or imperative as seeing for herself that the Lady was with them. She could figure the tech out later. Lofty steps carried the already light-weight woman across the small room toward the opened door vacated partially by both men enough for her to get past and see between them. Cross was closer to the Lady and sure as shit, it was HER. As inappropriate as it was, Q started to giggle and then laugh, covering her mouth to muffle the sound and failing even as she shook her head in denial. Sure, she'd been through the "I'm not dreaming" bit, but really?! A blind curator of what-was, a hunter of some notoriety, a giant, and a Jissy... it was the start of a very bad joke and Q shut-up like deadly-silence when she realized she was laughing because she was scared and shaking with a worrisome twirl of her wedding band around her left ring finger with her thumb, despite not having had much contact with him over the last two years. He couldn't save her anyway; Cross was right, blame nor fear were going to help them get out of this. Focus, Ia. Cross was offering the Lady a book and Q watched her do her thing without outing her for her blindness or speaking up about her Linguistic abilities. At least until Echonia surprisingly announced she didn't recognize it and further shocked the blonde by the revelation this might be S13. The Bermuda Triangle of the JSS Armada. Everyone knew the story and no one could prove it. It was Ash's turn to feel sick and pale as she stood behind the men, grimacing as she spoke up hoarsely; fear making her mouth and throat dry:: May I see the book? I'm a Linguist for JSS, I was on the Triton... before... here... ::Offering the latter part with a half-shrug of not knowing if it was helpful.::-d Deadmans Heart: :: He stood at the door of Crew Room 3 watching Cross walk to Echonia as she answered him. She was. He took note of the book next as the Hunter pulled it out and held it for the woman. He too noticed her delayed reaction to that gesture but he already knew why. He was not surprised that she had an inkling of where they where though the name was cause for concern. Things just got more odd did they not? Zachariah looked to Q when she came out of the room. He was re-reminded of the pleasure in her appearance and smiled wide once again. The large man was in no rush to join them near the round couch. He looked around to the Station Lift and again to the cargo door. Noting the two closed doors on the other side. Where they closed for a reason? He heard Q ask for the book and announce herself. Only to avoid seeming suspicious he too added with a casual nonchalance. :: I was on Midway also, the Underside actually. :: He would not say where, unless they asked.:: -d- A Vestige Within: The hell was the other woman laughing at? He only arched a brow and then looked back to Echonia, narrowing his eyes slightly when she said she couldn't read it. Ah well, she was educated, he figured it was worth a shot. He took the book back. "Thanks anyway... Sector 13 Station.. well I guess it's not vanished after all. Unless... we're all dead.. and here we are, thrown on a dead ship. I mean hell, let's face it, nothing ties us all together. The fact we are here is random. You all said it yourselves, different locations." A JSS linguist. His lips quirked and he moved with slow steps towards her, adjusting his stride to the gravity. "We should poke around, see what we can find. Most importantly a way out of here." He stopped before the woman in her panda pajamas and glanced down at them with a small grin. "Cute. Don't think I caught your name the last time we were thrown into an unfortunate situation together." Meanwhile, he offered her the book. Just because she was a Jissy and he used to be one didn't mean he was going to treat her any differently. He'd left that life behind and she was just another person. Her authority here meant nothing . (D) AIive until Dead: She laughed faintly when he suggested they might be dead, if that where true this was not where she'd be; she was sure of that. "You'rre most velcome, but I don't think ve'rre dead Crross." She did cross her arms when he took the book back, standing with that regal Lady-like ease. Cross was suggesting they poke around and she wasn't sure if that was such a good idea even if she agreed they needed to find a way out of there. She didn't forget anything and once the memories of the station were pulled up in her mind they were as fresh as the day she scanned the blueprints and listened to their read out. She had helped wire some of this station which was why it seemed familiar when she woke, but it wasn't the same, which was why it had been so hard to pin down. Someone or something had changed it, the gravity being different and all that? Yeah she didn't like it, and didn't like the sixty two degree room they were in either. She couldn't see the fog but could smell it, it wasn't foul and she had no idea what it was other than warmer temperatures and the security room. If they were going to get answers she figured it would be in there even if stepping across that threshold was like walking into a jungle without the swealtering heat-- still, it was a little over ten degrees warmer and humid making the air thick in her lungs. Little did she know that was also the fumes of the Poison Tree Turtles she didn't know were in there. The ones on the floor moving out of her way while the Echo Geckos began chiming like frogs with human voices "It's all Wrong! It's all wrong! It's all Wrong It's all Wrong!" It stopped her where she stood and sent a chill up her spine that quickly had her backing out of the room. [DONE] Apothic Devil: " Dis is not good " Not at all. All Papa knew, was this was not his room. Nor any room he'd ever been in. To add to it, the room was blue and he was floating. Sober as could be by now, he thought he was in a a wild trip from his recent ritual though. Though it wasn't as recent as he had thought. He looked about the room. The matresses and he were floating alike. His brightened a bit but not overly so as he looked around the room. Catching sight of the door he pushed off heading for it. Pulling on that locked door to Crew Room 4. He pulled at the door a few times. Attempting to get himself out with no such luck, before he put his bare foot right against it pushing off a bit. Floating back with arms crossed and death starring at that door he mumbled to himself. " Stupid lowsy invisibles.. dis the thanks I gets for my help. " Hesitating for a minute before he shouted at the door as if he thought the voices he heard, possibly in his head., might actually listen to the grumpy old Hougan. " Let ! .. Me ! ,, OUUUTT! " He huffed but slowly calmed thanks to the increased oxygen. " I don' have time ta be playin' w'ch yas. " Grumbling under his breath again -d- Bound but free: ::Q said "Linguist" instead of "Comm Officer" not just because it had more relevance with the book, but because she wasn't 100% sure one of the big guys wasn't also a badguy pretending to be one of them. Cross seemed the most likely candidate on account of his finger pointing followed by logic and sudden helpfulness-with-a-side-of-death. Of course, the way Zach grinned at her made Q all kinds of self-aware and thereby self-conscious and THAT put him back on the list of likelies. Ia was fairly confident that Echonia and herself were not the bad-guys so, she kept her attention on the men and at least tried to hide some of her skepticism. Easier, now that she wasn't blinded by the lights. While she wanted to shoot holes through his theory, at least he was offering something to the table and he didn't even make her approach him for the book. Unable to directly watch him stepping toward her, Comm Officer Ash only looked up with those green eyes when he stopped in front of her, catching his grin before he (she wasn't sure if he was complimenting or teasing her) about her PJs and fished for her name. Q swallowed hard and glanced down at the offered book, taking it from him with a thoughtlessly practiced carefulness that didn't let her touch him in the process. Quietly, she answered him, speaking three words before she lifted her eyes to meet his::My name is Ash, Q Ash... ::The second time she said it, and included her most commonly used name, she almost whispered it and started turning her head toward crew room 4 while Echonia went about looking about. Three words. She barely heard them, but that's what she does, and she heard them. Without explaining to anyone, and with the book in hand and unlooked at, Ash started for the door at a light trot that took a lot less time when gravity didn't weigh her down. I'm a Gazelle! -juuuust kidding; ahem- When she reached the other side of the door, she stopped and tried to get the keypad to open the door, quickly realizing it was locked. While Comm tech was her specialty, she wasn't a stranger from hacking doors...just none this old. Still, she'd have to try:: Sir? I can hear you, but the door is locked out here too, it might take a while to free it, are you okay? ::Yes, she was shouting a little to be heard through the door, probably not hearing anything that happened in the security room unless it (or Echonia) screamed...::-d Deadmans Heart: :: He watched Jai and Q for a moment before stepping away to observe Echonia take Cross up on his suggestion. She was bolder than he thought. She was not in that room long or too far for him not to see the baby blue in the equally dimly lit Security Room fog. He was surprised to hear the echoes and amused to watch her back out of the room so fast. He was about to walk toward her when the shouting from behind one of the closed doors stopped him. Cobalt blues looked to the door leading his stride to it falling in behind and to the left of Q. He had many skills, tech was not one of them. It was to Echonia he looked. He knew she was considered one of the experts of L'jet she could get it open right?:: You know what Station this is, you think you could come open this door. :: Not assuming the Linguist was going to try. :: -d- A Vestige Within: "Ash it is." He gifted her with a charming smile and allowed her to have the book while he glanced over his shoulder to see where Echonia was wandering off to. And then there came the voice from behind a closed and apparently locked door. Sounded familiar. Before he could say anything though, Ash was moving away with the book to that door. He narrowed his eyes and moved after her, listening in momentarily to hear if the guy was alright and then casually plucking the book from her grasp to tuck it away again. Like hell he was letting her have it! Even if she was probably the best person capable of translating it. "I'll hold onto this while you work on freeing that man. In the mean- time, I'm going to take my own word and completely ignore my previous ones about staying together at the same time. I'm going to take a look around. Don't go abandoning me now." He winked, hearing Zach ask Echonia if perhaps she could get it open. Not that he wasn't sympathetic, but how many people did it take to open one door? Once again, Jai wasn't playing well with others. But the independent-type predator always did fit him well. So he wandered back from where he came, planning to go back to more familiar territory and perhaps sniff out a few clues. Suspicious? Maybe. But he didn't mind drawing some towards him, might tell him far more about these people than he ever could've found out otherwise. (D) AIive until Dead: No, there was no screaming from her even if she was startled by the echoed voices; it was creepy! She was hugging herself again with the reminder of the colder room she back into again, this time on the other side of the rounded couch with the rest of them at her back. Zachariah's question turned her back around to face them but it took her a confused moment to catch up to the fact there was a man locked in a room. Cross' voice turned her head a little more and listened to him excuse himself against his previous advice. No, that wasn't suspicious at all. Echonia said nothing and walked toward the others with the same gluiding lofty grace she always had, like she didn't take steps but floated across the floor even though that wasn't true. She slowly uncoiled her arms from their wrap to hug herself and confessed. "I vill trry." She had no idea how much the wiring was changed and was a bit nervous to find out. Trysting that they would allow her to get to the key-pad which was thankfully where she remembered it, Echonia would slide her glove over it like she was looking for a way to pop the casing off. Half true, she did need to pop it off to get to the stuff inside but also wanted to scan it first. She turned her head to give them a No promises look and then stuck her fingers in to twerk the wiring and overide the locking mechanism. [DONE]OnlineHost: AIive until Dead rolled 1 10-sided die: 10 AIive until Dead: [Score! lol. Slid the door right open!] Apothic Devil: Is he ok? Is he ok? " Green " he said in answer with a roll of his eyes. Still not aware of his true situation. Mumbling along to himself. " Invisibles. Bloody annoyin'. Dem and their constant ya-ya. I swear.. if dey tell me to stay put.. I''ll. I'll. " Looking around the room, floating adrift in the center only made him grumpier with the realization. " I can't even threaten to hang myself.. Ooh yah. just float with the rope like a damn pup on leash I would " Going off into many stings of nonsense until he heard the door slide. Pushing off the bunks to make way for the door. Coming to gradual drop onto his bare feet. He stood before them now bare foot, shirtless, face painted like a skull, some marking on his chest. Bracelets and necklaces hanging from his body and those green eyes. For those who could see what asite that was to let loose. And grumpy at that.Brow lifted as the green began to fade. Looking about all the people around him and realizing he could.. well.. .see them. They weren't invisibles. " Who you? Whatchaya wants? Hmm ? " He said questiong them like door to door salemen on his front stoop. Just as unwanted at the moment. He'd catch on the the drift of things soon enough -d- Bound but free: ::See?! Suspect. Just waiting for her to be distracted and he plucked the book from her fingers like she couldn't be trusted with it. Ash looked over her shoulder in surprise before her brows narrowed and then jutted up in that "really?" expression she shook away with a roll of her eyes and turn of her head back to the locked door at hand. It's not like she told him (or any of them) about the tech she found behind the painting-that-was-a-door. Further discouraged by Cross' sudden decision to go against his own words and wander alone. She barely had enough time to see which way he went before he was gone from sight and Zach was asking Echonia if she could open the door. Telling herself she was shivering because of the cold, Q tried not to feel useless as she side-stepped to give the blind woman some room. It said a lot of Zach that he even knew to ask the woman in the blue dress, but Q didn't mention it. Instead, she watched Echonia work and tried to learn a thing or two while distracting her from the handsome giant behind her and to the left. By the time the Lady got the door open and Q glanced over her shoulder to make sure Zach was ready (he was the biggest, he could defend the ladies, right?!) the giant was gone. Just disappeared (unwittingly teleported somewhere) without a trace. A man that size does not disappear! Ash wanted to blame Cross, who had conveniently walked out of eyesight just before. Fuck. Just as she was starting to process what that might mean, the blackman with the skull-face came from the formerly locked room and scared the Jissy into a yelp and a stumble back so fast she ran into the corner of the broken lift rather painfully; cursing under her breath in Russian without even thinking. Worse, his eyes were glowing green and he was asking THEM questions like they were solicitors that disturbed him rather than rescuers who freed him. Like she addressed Zach at first, Q retorted:: Who are YOU? -d (to be continued...)

[Continued with Echonia and Cross for a bit] ______________________________________________ A Vestige Within: While they were busy trying to figure out how to get Cain out of that room, Jai had wandered back off to more familiar territory, retracing his steps, practically bouncing with the decreased gravity in the common room before he reached vault room 1 once again and eyed the vault. Nope, still not touching that. It's locked for a reason. He had his eye on the data booths. With a deep breath and that book shoved back into his belt, he moved to the one on the far left and gave a quick look about to make sure there was nothing hiding. Paranoid already and he'd just gotten here. "Well.. here goes nothing..." No doubt the others were wondering what he was up to, probably suspicious of him, but the hunter was trying to take some initiative and figure some stuff out for the benefit of them all. Now he was trying to access whatever data could be found here. (rolling for access.)OnlineHost: A Vestige Within rolled 1 2-sided die: 1 OnlineHost: A Vestige Within rolled 1 5-sided die: 2 Access granted... for fifteen minutes at least. That's all the time I need, Jai thought. Unfortunately he didn't get to put in a search or anything. Instead, that video automatically started and his dark eyes lit up in dread as he saw what was happening on the screen. Wingos. Odd-looking ones. Tearing five people apart. He reached up and brushed a hand over his face as he took a single step back. Why would anyone have this ready to play? He couldn't stop it, couldn't turn it off, and didn't see the point besides making the viewer go oh shit, I'm fucked. He needed his guns. Growling and giving the screen a bash of his fist, he stepped out and collected himself. This was someone's circus, he just had to figure out who was pulling the strings. . (D)AIive until Dead: Thank Goodness Echonia couldn't actually see the man they opened the door for, though the sound of his voice painted her a sketch of a picture of the man. She listened to Q question the man back and noticed the instant and equally bizarre disappearance of Zachariah from their side, leaving the women to the strange man themselves. Echonia had an inkling that Q could handle herself well enough and took a step back from them and Crew Room 4. She intended to do a scan of the area she was standing in with her glove but she picked up what sounded like distant screaming and it stopped her. She wagered the others didn't hear it because they made no mention or gesture to indicate they did; not surprising considering her exceptional hearing. Her brows furrowed and she moved with that gluiding grace across the lighter gravity floor toward Vault Room 1 where the sounds seemed to be coming from. When she approached that walkway she stayed against the aft wall until it ran out, noting immediately that the gravity in the vault room was normal, at least normal for most stations and planets. Normal compared to the other rooms she'd been in so far beside the one she woke in. The sounds were clearer but they didn't make sense at first, it wasn't until she was outside the databooths that she realized it was a video recording. She was looking toward it, toward him even though she saw nothing, her expression contorted in empathetic pain and sorrow for what she was hearing. Her voice was quiet but projected to be heard. "Is that vhat happened to the crrew on this station?" She couldn't see and wasn't going to pretend she could by walking up to scan the video and "see" for herself either. She didn't need the details, she didn't want them really, it sounded bad enough. [DONE]A Vestige Within: The sound of her voice scared the shit out of him. Jai spun around swiftly because he hadn't heard her "float" into the room. She moved so quietly even in a place that was as deathly silent as this. He released a breath and shook his head. "Don't sneak up on me like that!" He wasn't angry, just.. rattled, obviously. He'd seen a little shit. Hell, he'd seen wingos tearing up slaves in Niema's pits, but this was different. These weren't slaves as far as he could tell and those people looked defenseless. She was outside of the booth, but he still stepped in front of her with a frown. "You don't want to see that, Lady. It's a tad bit gruesome, woman of your stature shouldn't be exposed to such a thing. And I don't know.. it definitely looks like it took place in this station, but it could be a setup. I mean hell, just look at us. We're here. Maybe that happened to another group of people just like us.. who knows what they've planned this time. We should uh.. move away. You all get the man out of that room?" He was already moving and would've drawn her with him if he was not hesitant to touch her in the first place. He knew how Ladies could be. He'd dealt with plenty in his past. "There's a vault here.. don't know what's inside but I ain't opening it. And then there's... do you hear something? Like water running?" He listened for a few moments and then eyed her care- fully. Maybe he was going crazy already, who knows? . (D) AIive until Dead: His abrupt voice calling her out for sneaking up on him starttled her but she was quickly apologetic with her expression and a lift of her hand. "Sorry." She often forgot how quiet she could be compared to most because she was so used to hearing the little details most didn't. It also hadn't occurred to her under the circumstances she should be extra careful about that, someone might be quick to attack defensively. She tried a faint smile of assurance as he stepped toward her, lifting her eyes in a measured accommodation of where his eyes would be; it was habitual for her as a Lady. His answer striped her barely there smile and put a frown in it's place. She was hoping that wasn't the case but it wasn't looking good for any other posibility and Echonia had lived or at least remembered a lot of experiences to make that deduction. The change of topic lifted her brows almost hopefully, like it was the only good thing they'd come across so far. "Ve opened the doorr... not surre if he vants to come out though.." She shurgged one shoulder moving with him, briefly closed enough for her covered arm to brush his. When he mentioned the vault she turned her eyes down like she was looking at it, her left palm opened to get a read in the process to which she replied. "Therre is vone on the otherr side too but it's offline." This one wasn't but she didn't know if that was to entice them to open it or simply a fluke of the power routing in the station. The add on water lifted her chin and eyes back to him, her expression saying she had before her lips parted to answer him. " Sounds almost like rrain to me, I thought it vas a sound simulation or something... it's coming frrom therre." She turned her head toward the Washroom abow from where they where, the locked door almost as good as a wall to her ears, most station and ship doors were because of their design. Ever like the Lady she made no attempt to go near it, though if he did she would follow, she wouldn't allow herself to be useless but going first somewhere? She'd pass on that. [DONE] A Vestige Within: "Oh he'll come... best option is to stick together, he'll realize that." he noted the brush to his arm, figured it was an accident, but it showed him that she was staying close. She wasn't afraid of him. Perhaps she was more afraid of what lay around them, the possibilities of the unknown. "Don't suppose you have any hacking skills with that Lady title of yours do ya? Not sure we should open it anyway." He shot her a grin and moved towards the washroom. "So it is." He tried the door once he reached it but it wouldn't budge. Locked. "Goddamnit. Sounds like something's on but the door's locked." He peered into the rec room but it was pitch black. He couldn't see a damn thing and he wasn't wandering into the dark. He didn't suppose that she could see in the dark either.. little did he know. "Well we're not going that way either." He sighed and considered her for a moment. "Want to show me where you woke up? Maybe there were some clues around there as well... In the meantime you can tell me all about this What-Was Museum of yours on Misthaven Moon. Ha.. I've only been there once myself. No reason for a bounty hunter to be there unless he's hunting someone and the people there don't tend to give me kind looks... as expected." This time he waited for her to lead the way, but he did offer her some reassurance. "I'll be right at your side." . (D) AIive until Dead: She looked unsure when he said the man would come out to stick with the rest of them but didn't dispute it. Frankly she wouldn't be upset if he didn't, he gave her weird vibes, though she knew the numbers where a good idea. If only to increase their skill pool. Of course when he quipped about her hacker skills she looked a little surprised for a second and then smiled trying to smooth it over with a relaxed reply. "You'rre like all the otherres, only interrested in the title." She was joking, she didn't really think that but she wasn't willing to admit she had those skills yet, not if she didn't have to. She'd gotten the other door open and almost offered to try this one when it sounded like the door he tried was locked. She didn't though, he was dismissing it with a sigh and asking if she wanted to show him where she woke. Did she? No, that meant going through the floating room again and what if she'd left drool on the table?! He distracted her from this concern when he then prompted her to tell him about the What-Was Museum which she found curious and couldn't help but turn that look his way. Did he really want to know or was he distracting her? She decided it didn't matter and smiled like it was nice to hear someone ask about it once in a while-- not everyone cared about What-Was. She was about to start telling him some of the finer points when he offered that assurance; then she realized she hadn't moved. Echonia made an amused apologetic sound and stepped back toward the Common Room to cross it, immediately reminded of the colder tempratures. "Rright, this vay... as forr the Vhat-Vas museum, it's a family establishment, so I vouldn't expect many ... ah, Bounty Hunterrs. " She sounded amused when she said it, like she hadn't thought him a Bounty Hunter when she'd first met him though she believed him just the same. She crossed her arms and laid her hands over them as they entered the Common Room and it's 62 degree temprature but didn't slow her faulter in her gluiding walk to the other Vault Room. "The arrtifacts and rrelics therre belong to my family mostly. Vell, me, I'm the only vone left anymore... vhen ve make it out of herre, you should come by as.. Cross, not the Bounty Hunterr, I'll give you a tourr. " She decided against the finer points and went for a commonly overlooked fact and invite. She was also being blatantly optamistic about them getting out but she was the Lady, that was her job right? She didn't walk into the Vault Room 2 when they reached it, reminding him. "It has no grravity, this rroom, but arround that corrner is vherre I voke." She pointed toward the bow around the Captians Room she knew was there but wasn't eager to bring to his attention. [DONE] A Vestige Within: "That's right, because usually people like yourself are way more uptight, no offense of course." He shook his head as they moved into the cooler room and could already feel the gravity decreasing. "Tell me something I don't know, Lady. And your family must've had a mighty collection for you to make it into a museum." As for the invite, Jai huffed. "Cross is the bounty hunter and the bounty hunter is Cross, but maybe.. maybe one day I'll take you up on that offer when I need a little getaway. And what better place to get away?" He paused when she did and glanced into it. "Yes, I remember you, floating there. I'm not scared of no gravity." He moved past her and immediately lost his footing, but he stayed close to the wall for some support. Same as the room on the opposite side. A vault, this one out of commission. Databooths that Jai wasn't rushing towards after the last, and around the corner, the other Rec room where she'd awakened. It was there that he floated towards, pushed himself towards, glancing back at her briefly as he did so. "You said you were on a ship when this happened.. mind if I ask what you were doing on that ship?" When he did reach the rec room gravity kicked back in and he nearly fell flat on his face. Instead he landed in a crouch, setting his eyes on the card table with an arch of his brow. . (D) AIive until Dead: She laughed ever-so lightly at his comment to the uptightness of the Lords and Ladies. "Those arre the vones that put much prride in theirre title." She mused back without any offence, obviously. Though as she spoke about the museum and even invited him for a tour she felt the frown pull at her lips when he huffed. She twisted her lips in a moment of thought and resorted to a smile and silence which concluded with a nod; yes it was a nice getaway and not just because it was on MistHaven Moon in her opinion. The room provided the next topic and another smile as he stepped right into the lack of gravity with a proclamation of no fear. "I'm not afrraid of it.." She said with a fading conviction-- was she telling him or herself? She was hesitant of it for the same reason she wore slippers and not boots of any kind, she liked feeling the ground under her feet. She was slow to follow but did as he was asking her about what she was doing when she blacked out. As she floated across the Vault room toward the Rec Room's port side with a calculated accuracy her impulse to his question was to tell him it was none of his business-- she realized that would seem very uptight and hoped he'd exuse her delayed response for her movement into the room with him. Assuming that wasn't where he was standing, she'd have to take a few steps to adjust to the sudden catch of gravity, reaching her hand out to the wall for support in the process and waiting to still before answering, even if she'd collided with him because answering would make it less awkward. "I vas sitting in a lounge chairr vaiting to get to Midvay.. just thinking. " She had to think about it for a moment but was certain she hadn't actually been doing anything when she drifted off, or blacked out or whatever. [DONE] A Vestige Within: Perhaps that was part of the reason he left Javos. Having to deal and sell to uptight pricks all the time had wore down upon him. Again she bumped him. He was beginning to think this woman was half-blind! Or just more scared than she was acting. "Thinking and sitting hm? Sounds like a guilty activity if I've ever heard one." He flashed her a smirk and rose to his full height. "I was eating some of the best noodles on Midway Station and enjoying it actually.. then things just went black." He flopped down into one of those seats at the card table. "Want to play a game?" He teased and looked from her to the table as he swiveled the chair to face it. Jai didn't take anything, except for the tek bits, which he gathered and stuffed into his pockets. "Might as well gather the useful things around here." He nudged his chin about them. "What about these doors, all locked as well?" Well aware that she may not have even tried them he was already rising and moving to try each of them himself, growing a bit more ruffled with each pass. "Obviously someone's laid out a path for us, the only question is, is this path leading us towards freedom or a trap?" He leveled his eyes upon her and looked her over again, arching a brow. "So what's next? What do we do, Lady Echonia?" . (D) AIive until Dead: In the blue light she was all blue, dress, scarf, skin and eyes, she was glad it was warmer in the Rec room but a little embarresed about bumping into him, again. She wouldn't say it though and even answered like nothing happened as she stepped from him and crossed her arms again. His quip back surprised her, would have made her blush if she was the sort. She did smile a little coyly though and cleared her throat and turning her face toward the table veering to a chair one over from the one he plopped down in. Her thoughts were definitely not his business. She ran her fingers over it's arched back and spun it back and forth a little bit listening to him tell her where he was; she was almost certain she knew where he was referring though she hardly ate there. The joke to play a game made her laugh lightly and honestly, she considered it. Her silence was because she was listening to him pick up tek-bits and put them in his pockets, not that he knew that really. He was already up to try the doors he was asking about when she answered, "I vould assume so." No, she hadn't checked and now felt a bit foolish for being so skittish about everything, what was she really worried about? She'd never not come back, what reason did she have to believe now would be any different? She followed toward the locked Security Room door and Captians Cabin door even though she could hear by his frustration they were locked also. His logic about there being a path was an interesting one and one she'd thought herself but wasn't so convinced it wasn't in her head. "Question indeed." She nodded agreeing with him on whether or not it was a path to death or the way out. When he then asked her what they should do next she wasn't abashed to turn her face to him like he was asking the wrong person. "Vhy arre you asking me?" She said it before thinking but wouldn't recant, she did however turn to the Captians door and slide her hand against the lock pad for the release tab to pull the face of it off. [Rolling to see if she can unlock it]OnlineHost: AIive until Dead rolled 1 10-sided die: 8 And as she started putting her fingers inside the opening where all the wires were she turned to look at him like she realized how odd it might look, her being a Lady and all. "The Vhat-Vas Museum has a lot of L'jet items, Sector 13 vas a Station outside Javos orbit built afterr the firrst vave so I know my vay arround some things. " She was talking to him while she worked because she didn't need her eyes and wasn't really thinking about how that looked to him either-- there were more dire things on her mind, and selfish. Toward the end of her explaination the door slid open and put a dim orange glow on her pushing back the blue of the Rec Room. It was also ten degrees warmer and humid which immediately got her attention and had her words fading from her mouth as she turned her head toward it. Russian mumbled from her mouth to the tone of what's going on here? Which was also her expression, reminding her of the Security Room she put her arm out to stop him from walking in so fast, speaking in the process with notable skeptacism. "The securrity room vas humid too, not as varm though... had voices echoing It's all vrrong, it's all vrrong... maybe it's a varning? " She was guessing but if there was a logic or method to the madness she couldn't help but point out a pattern assuming there was one. She couldn't see there was no fog in here, no creatures on the floor or walls but it seemed worth mentioning. She did, however, withdrawal her arm with an apologetic look like she knew she had no right and it was rude. [DONE]A Vestige Within: "I'm asking you because you seem like a smart woman. Thought it'd be best to get your opinion on things." He shrugged lightly. "Two heads are usually better than one and we'll have even more once we regroup." He crossed his arms over his chest and was going to ask her what she was doing until he saw her pull the face of the lock pad off. Really? "That right.. well.. be my guest." He didn't think she was going to get that far and then? The door slid open. The orange glow from the room was indeed ominous, but she read his mind. He was ready to move right into there when her arm came out to block him. He didn't hear what she mumbled, didn't even know it wasn't English, but he heard the words that came after. "So you went in the security room?" He eyed her suspiciously for a moment and then placed a hand upon her shoulder. "It's fine. there's nothing in there. Just look in? Looks clear. Hot as hell but clear... stay out here if you want and I'll just take a quick peek." He was already moving in. Gravity. Good. But the heat was sweltering and frankly it stunk. He glanced around, eyed the computer on the desk and spotted the cabinet. "There's a cabinet here... I'm going to see what's inside," He warned her, knowing how nervous she was it was best to keep her alert if something shifted. . (D) AIive until Dead: "Oh, rright, yes." What else could she say to his clarification of why he asked her? She likewise cursed herself for being so defensive and blamed the wild nature of this whole situation for her slip of judgement. She might not have seen him cross his arms but she heard it and smiled a little to herself as she popped the cover off. His reaction widened it some gave it a more suitable purpose to be there but it was all washed away when she got the door open. She was even too distracted by all the possible dangers to indulge in the feel of his chest against her arm when she blocked him. Echonia was a little surprised to feel his hand on her shoulder but she didn't flinch or move away from it. "It's therre, but not locked frrom the Common Rroom, I only stepped in and back out." She didn't mean it to sound like a confession but even to her it kind of did. Her tongue swept across her lips which then pulled into a smile at his assurance it was fine; sure it was. She let him go first before following behind-- she was too curious not to. She lifted her left hand to hold her palm out away from her body but kept her hand close to her torso to limit what he might see if he glanced her way. She was standing near the foot of the bed with a look on her face which expressed her agreeance on the smell though she said nothing about it. As he announced he was going to look in the cabinet she replied," I vill check the bed, maybe therre is a jourrnal or something.." Wishful thinking, who wrote anything down anymore? It was a dying art she missed and warped down memory lane about as she leaned over the bed's end to feel the covers down to it's edge, trying not to think about what might be down there as she gripped to lift the matress with her right hand, allowing her to use her left to scan under it rather than go feeling for what could be something she didn't want to touch. She wasn't sure if she should be relieved or sad when she was coming up empty, side steping around it with an effort not to bump into him at the cabinet there. [DONE] A Vestige Within: "Hm.. I see." Yeah he didn't know how much he believed her, but she didn't have any reason to lie right? He was too busy looking about the room himself, peering up at the ceiling and the walls and then back to the cabinet. Jai simply nodded when she said that she was going to see what she could find around the bed. When he reached the cabinet he watched her for a few moments. "Chances are it'll be encoded like the one I found anyways.. if what I found is a journal that is." He shrugged lightly and then gripped the cabinet door to slowly open it. There were objects inside. Yes! But he didn't have but a second to let that register before he felt the shift in the room and then? His legs felt weightless once again, floating, holding onto the cabinet to keep from turning upside down. "Goddamnit. This place is a fucking fun house isn't... bah!" Now he knew for sure there were traps. They were going to have to tread carefully. "Let's see.. we got a few bottles of water. .a comb.. a razor.. and a card of some kind. I'm guessing we won't be needing the comb or the razor, although Ash could sure use a run-through of that comb through her hair eh? Serious case of bed head." Always making light of a situation, trapped, floating, grinning. He reeled himself into to grab the floating objects, trying the razor and then realizing it was out of power and leaving it. The waters were taken, one floated over to her and the other two tucked into his trusty belt. The comb was taken for shits and giggles on Ash. And the card last. "Looks like a security card, may be our ticket out of-" He paused a moment as something caught his eye. The now floating chair had turned just enough so he got a peek at the knife under it."-here." He extended his arm to pass it to her. "You're good at opening doors apparently, you hold onto it. I see a pair of gloves floating over there that might be handy. Go on, I'll follow you out once I grab them." . (D) AIive until Dead: He was probably right, if it was even a journal which of course begged the question what else it might be. Why it was there, why any of them where. Questions that were daunting to think about with all the possibilities, it made thinking about good old fashioned hand writing fond and easy. Of course her thoughts were disrupted as her side-step found no ground and she felt her whole body begin to float along with the mattress she'd been gripping. "Vhat did you do?!" It was accusatory in a lightly panicked sort of way as she tried not to flail reactively, coiling a little instead. She took the water when she felt it bump into her but didn't realize he was going to hand the card to her. As he paused his speech Echonia tried to push off the bed to get to the bow side wall again and back to gravity, though with everything floating her aim was off and she went right out the door-- thudding with a minor wince when the gravity of the Rec Room took her body to the floor. Yes when he spoke she gathered his extended arm hadn't been to keep himself in position and was swift and graceful getting back to her feet, though when she reached into the room she did so holding the door jam as not to go floating back in there as she attempted to accept the card and again blow past an awkward moment. "Yes, I'll keep the carrd you give Ash the comb." She might have been blind but she knew he took it and thought prodding that jest was a good deflection from her moment of gracelessness. [DONE] A Vestige Within: "All I did was open the cabinet, not my fault." He was tempted to ask her what SHE'D touched but he knew better. He himself winced when she hit the floor after pushing herself into the Rec Room again. Aw did she seem him take the comb? He smirked and flashed her a wink when she took the card, before he turned, pushing himself off of the wall to get to those gloves... and the chair. He turned his back to her to conveniently block her view and acted like he was moving the chair out of the way. Hunting knife. Six inches. Now he was no longer so defenseless. Comforting. He smoothly slid it free and under the sleeve of his thermal for safe keeping and just for kicks? He grabbed the gloves too and pulled them over his hands. "Just my size.. and leather too, I'd offer them to you but, you know. I think they'd be a bit big, Lady." He pushed back towards her. Too bad he didn't see the stun pistol under the desk as well, even if it was dead. Knowing there was going to be a shift, he gripped the door frame before he transitioned and landed a bit more smoothly onto his feet. "So now, at least we won't die from thirst or bad hair, huh? Sorry about that but hey, could've been worse right?" . (d)... to be continued ...

((play continued -from Log 1- with Papa Cain, Q Ash, and the Underboss Niema as a late entry added to the top-roster along with Royce who hasn't entered play publicly yet...)) Apothic Devil: Lips snarled up just a little as he staired at her. " Don you call me dat " He said refering to the russian swearing she just did. Standing just in those cargo pants his face painted up like a grim reaper mask on halloween. Those bracelets and necklaces made slight noises against each other making him not the most silent of walkers, even if barefoot. The green light in his eyes started fading as he leaned in a little to her. Nostrils flared as he took a sniff . " I ask'd you who. " He said giving her a stern .. I don't got time for this crap ... look before he leaned backa gain. " I'm the Doctor " So he left Witch out of the front of that. Not many would actually consider him of the medic variety. Yah he had a name unlike that of the one docter on that one show who right about now would fit right in, but she asked back who he was so he was just being stubborn. She wasn't giving her name, he wasn't giving his. Brow stayed arched as arms flexed while folding over before his chest. " Where you take me ? " He said as he let the air in his lungs settle a bit. Eyes now starting to look around the room Trying to recognize well.. anything that would tell him where he was but this was certainly not any place he'd ever been -d- Bound but free: ::Ash was good with sounds, not visuals persay and didn't recognize the black-man from the dinner at first. It wasn't until he opened his mouth again that it clicked and flickered in her mind and reminded of the crazy-loon who tried to tell her to abandon her job. The JSS Comm Officer suddenly saw past the paint and clangor of jewelry (that made her painfully aware of her wedding band like a mockery of her solitude and only piece of jewelry) to see the man that was projecting that accented voice. If she hadn't already tagged him addle and been scared (and now confused) by his appearance, the Panda PJ wearing Jissy lost her fear and got mad. Let her pain (caused from the stumble into the corner of the lift) fuel it and leveled her less remarkable green eyes on the slowly fading glow of his alien-green eyes. Unfortunately, she wasn't recovered enough to stop herself from looking at him like she thought he was as crazy as she thought he was. Still, when he said "Doctor" she managed not to say 'of the crazies?' outloud and only grimaced and didn't retreat further, despite his hard look; of course, she didn't step closer either and totally lost track of when Echonia meandered off.:: I didn't take you anywhere old man, I woke up here, in another room. Names Ash and I'd appreciate it if you'd stop talking at me. ::Brows furrowed like she meant it but she didn't raise her voice above an audible tone. Q wasn't always friendly, but as a Linguist, she usually said what she meant and meant what she said. Paradox of perception can be a bitch though and Q wasn't going to stick around for more beration of the cross-armed Dead-painted-crazy-black-man either. So, she made an about face to circle around the lift into the cargo bay area where the temp was still 62 degrees with light gravity that made her movements seem lofty, though the lighting turned orange and made her grinning panda's and white daisy print on her PJ pants seem somehow sinister and angry...::-d Apothic Devil: Papa kept sniffing a little at her scent. Making a bit of a face as she started walking off. He said his name finally after her. " Papa Cain " He said. Toes padded barely on the ground with the light gravity, something he was grateful for right now. Not having to be fully weighted down on a metal , lifeless box in the middle of who know where. As she made way into the cargo bay he stood still turning head slightly at the effect of her pants before noting JSS on her back ... JSS-Head ( Jiss Head ) . " I don' know what you been rollin in Ash.. but I suggest if you go bargin' in rooms like dat.. you may wan' stay clear of any t'ng with teeth " Yep ,he warned her even if he didn't know she didn't know what she smelled like. It wasn't exactly bad. Nothing like a skunk but pheromones were up. Almost to the tune of an animal in heat. It was bound to gain something's attention if it were on board. Though the fruti smell was in it too. That worried him for her. Someone smelling like... an eddible animal in heat. He stood at the entry way of cargo bay, mainly just watching her as well... not like Papa knew where or what was going on. " Den who did ? " Was all he asked. Not aware she was as clueless as he was but starting to pick up on it -d- Bound but free: ::Papa Cain: Papa of Crazy Accented Iggy Nemos....Indecent Nocturns...Impish Naves...If-nows....okay, that was riddiculous, even for you, Ia. The Jissy was thinking to herself once he called after her, his name, and she tried to ignore him while she looked about at the crates and stuff stacked on top of it in the dim orange glow. What she needed was a flashlight and though 'they' took her larger power sources, she was sure she had a glove-light in one of her pockets... hands went to searching the tech-vest when she twirled around and stumbled slightly on the too-long pant legs of her panda PJs that her other-wise bare feet were stepping on. Like him, she'd been handling personal business. His warning didn't even get a retort before he asked her who (she presumed) kidnapped them and left them here. The Jissy's brows flattened from surprise to her Officer's blank-face when she replied cooly:: If I knew, I wouldn't be talking to you, Papa Cain. But since I am, please elaborate on what you mean by 'stay away from anything with teeth...' ::And this time, she took another step toward him, momentarily forgetting about the crates and the bags lined up against the walls and on top of the crates. It didn't seem like anyone was in a hurry to rescue them, and if this really WAS S13, they were fucked seven ways to Sunday in ANY verse. If she knew about the Bremuda Triangle, she'd be comparing it to S13 right now. Instead, she finally found the glove-light she was looking for and slipped it on, tapped her palm and BAM, a halo of daylight from her palm. Nifty, huh? Thankfully she had it aimed at her belly so the only one momentarily blinded was her.::-d Apothic Devil: He stepped closer after she did , leaning in to her again and a few sniffs were made before he stepped back giving her a confused look as he looked over. Not one checking her out but the look that she didn't smell like what he saw standing before him. " Either you should start buyin soaps elsewhere.. or. " He took another sniff for a moment. Sighing a bit of air out " Or you been rollin around with ... somethin'. Smell to heavns with pheromones. You been playin' with animals up here ? " he said as he looked around the area. No sign of an actual animal in the area they were. Turning to look back at her now. " So you didn't take me.. don' know who did. Can ya tell me where we are? " He asked questioningly dropping the fact he just told her she smelled like wild life .. when in the middle of a ship. Like it were a known and even common fact for her. moving back to his questions -d- Bound but free: ::If she looked offended, it's because she was; who sniffs a person they just met?! But, of course, Ia didn't know she'd been showered in pheramones, or that he could smell them. Too, she didn't even want to admit to herself that some part of her (the lonely part that actually missed her Husband) liked and was excited by the intimacy and audacity of his act. So, she looked offended and leaned away from him without taking a step back because eight brothers will teach you when to stand your ground and when to run; sometimes, when to lean back a little... Blinking up at the man with the painted face, Q's offense turned into confusion and then a hot blush at the suddenly absurd thought that her stuffed pandas might constitute as rolling around with animals. Like I'm going to admit THAT. Clearing her throat softly and unconsciously rolling her shoulders back as she tucked her glowing palm against her vested abs and tried not to realize the painted man wasn't wearing a shirt. Deciding to ignore his rambling (but not his warning, who WANTS to go near sharp-teethed things?!) with a shake of her blonde head. Answering his question, the Jissy looked up to meet his eyes so he'd see the truth, and so she could verify if they were glowing still or not; did she look paranoid? Yeah, he was on the suspect list now too, right next to Cross...:: I don't know for sure, but Lady Echonia says this is Sector Thirteen. If you're up on your AtVerse Space-lore, you'll know this is the missing space station no one claims to know about from before even your time... ::She smirked a little at the last part, not meaning it in a jab, but a joke she thought was funny. Or maybe she just tried to tell herself he was old so she'd have an excuse for feeling like a girl. Damnit, why did she have to be abducted in her PJs? Taking a deep breath (inadvertantly of him and still not knowing what he was talking about with her) Q tore her eyes away from him and turned an airy about face to retreat into the storage area to investiage the bags and boxes with her light as she asked:: Going to help me look around or keep asking questions? -d OnlineHost: Apothic Devil rolled 1 5-sided die: 1 Apothic Devil: Papa could speak a few dozen languages. Read a dozen or so more. Pick words out a few dozen more. Yet women.. he never could read. He was very spiritual. All about his "duty" of being a Hougan and spreading his help where ever he went to who ever wanted it. Romance was not a language under his list of know how. When he saw her blushing his face looked even more confused looking at her and then that little joke. " WE are stuck in a situation. WE are her here together and just as clueless as another. Right now WE could use each others help. An.. YOU.. you make old jokess? An to a member of a founding family? " In Lotek Founding Families meant nothing but... you got here first.Ooooh big deal. Now do something useful. Some seemed to think it meant you were royalty which always made Papa laugh with a smile when a Mope tried to bow to him. He stepped into the room moving around to a stack of round cases as he turned his head back to look at her shaking his head. Eyes were at the moment , mostly grey. Just a hint of that green fading away. Papa had heard stories about S13. Why? it's what Papa did. He traveled to learn every legend, every folk tale, mythos, religion, and tribal story there was out there to learn his place in the AtVerse. Digging in the case he found a bag. Looking into it he saw Tech-Bits. Not one for currency really but it did come in handy for barters of the things he really needed, decided to slip the bag on his cargo pocket. " Make fun of de ol' man.. and den ask him for help. Silly JSS-Head. ( the Lotek name insteado Jissy ) You're all the same. Make fun of the others.. and put the rest of us to work " he said under his breath -d- OnlineHost: Bound but free rolled 1 5-sided die: 5 Bound but free: ::Yeah, she did consider asking him where he'd been before he was taken since the rest of them spilled their priors, but frankly, she knew she didn't want to know. Once you know a thing, you can't just decide to unknow it. So, she just retorted quietly as she passed her light over everything in a slow grid of consideration:: Like you said, WE are here and if you'll notice, I included myself in that looking about oldman. ::Apparently she was sticking with it and not missing the slip of the bag into his pocket. Knowing she'd done the same in a room when no one was watching, she knew she didn't have a right to ask, but did anyway because THEY were in the room TOGETHER and it would save her from getting closer to look herself.:: What's in the bag? ::When she turned her attention to the crates in the middle (assuming the bags all had the same thing cause they all looked uniform) it was the blue crates which got her attention the most. Blue was a safe color, a nice, soothing color. Sure, she wasn't expecting a SPA on the inside of that box, but when she stepped up to it, she was determined to figure out how to open it and probably made some noise turning it about without picking it up too... women.::-d OnlineHost: Apothic Devil rolled 1 5-sided die: 4 Apothic Devil: Papa looked at her a moment. " All the gold in the AtVerse " he said with a smirk. before he stepped away from it as she began to mess with the blue boxes. Turning to catch site of red crates. Blue may mean safe. Red mean do not enter always. Brow lifted as he moved over to it. " Nothing of use .. least not in here. " He said as he stopped before the crate. She was having issues with her. He just staired at the red ones. Pondering how to go about it. Hand raised and extended out to slap the bottom of his flat palm against it twice getting a feel of how hollow it was and or durable. Thinking he may just lift it and break it on the floor. That was till something caught his attention and he stepped forward. He placed both hands now on it, lowering an ear to the box and slapped the side a few times. At glance, it looked like someone checking a ripeness. Eyes opened a little wide and he looked at her and pointed his finger directly at her. " You! Stinky. No touch! " He said pointing at the box, then at her and back at the box. " Yooouu nooo touch " Talking to her like a child. Smooth operator. Oh yah he was. -d- Black Death Pyke: || S w e a t b o x ; it was a torture tactic that she'd used many times and experienced more than once herself. Particularly ones were there was limited air and they only opened the door when you were almost out of oxygen. That's what it felt like to her when she began to wake from the top bunk on Crew Room 1. Her breathing was labored yet it felt like she wasn't getting enough oxygen and out of reflex she brought her right hand to her chest and left hand to her hip. She was sweaty and sticky from the blood that had half dried on her body. [-blames Tu for the slow post-] Her swords weren't on her hip anymore, in fact her whole belt was gone as were her boots. She sat up whip-like and heaved a breathe from the effort, gasping for air that didn't seem to be completely in the room. The light was dim and orange which took a moment for her black augmented eyes to adjust to, her newly positioned weight making the journal under the matress-- and her ass, more apparent. Checking the floor visually first, Niema slinked off the top bunk slow in an effort not to use all her air. She reached under the matress to get the journal only to find there was no writing in it; if there had been those were the pages she noticed were torn out. She shoved it back where she found it with a weak huff and another gasp for the oxygen in the room. The smell was rank and musty which was reason enough to want to leave the room and since the door was open and felt like there was cooler air, and notably more comfortable lighting -- though yellow, in the next room she went for it. Bare feet were quiet in her full heel to toe steps but the moment she stepped into the Vault Room [2] she floated up to the momentum of her powerful stride. Cursing in a whisper she had no choice but to wait for her body to reach one of the databooth walls she was headed for. And as the predator she was, she did so scanning the area around her including what of the Common Room she could see. They might have unarmed her but she was a weapon.|| [d] Bound but free: ::Did he mean that? Was it really gold in there? Q was going to check (paranoid, she had to) after she opened the blue boxes. Careful prying opened the lid and upon peering inside as she muttered back at the painted-man:: Knee-slapper.::In about the driest tone she could muster. Lighting up and saying no more when she saw the armor panels in the bottom of the box.:: Paint me with Pandas and Daisies...::She whispered and reached inside, immediately slapping her arms with them to get herself covered and immediately feeling better, visibly relaxing, and audibly sighing. That is, until she heard Papa Cain addressing her again, and this time, like she was a two year old. Perhaps it was payback for the oldman wisecrack? Those green hues narrowed over her newly armored shoulder at him and the Jissy asked him suspiciously:: Why? What's in the box? ::Her glowing hand moved to shine her light on the box while she turned to face him, unawares there were more than five on the station, unawares he was saving her again...Her other hand reached back into the crate and slapped a panel on her thigh, then the other before daring to unzip her vest for a moment of blushing (hidden slightly in the orange glow) selfconsciousness to her bralessness and the grinning Panda face holding a daisy between it's teeth on her PJ tank top beneath which she couldn't avoid showing. Her intent was to hide it, and protect herself, with a plate over her chest. If that was gold in those bags, then this armor made it a stronger suggestion that this was still a test. She wasn't sure why non-Jissy's would be in on it, but she wasn't taking chances. You find armor, you put it the fuck on! So yeah, she put a plate on her back too, and cracked open the second blue crate before motioning for him to do what she had done. While not explaining to HIM, she really just wanted him to put some clothes on... Zipping up her vest in silent emphasis before stepping toward the bags to check those herself.::-d OnlineHost: Apothic Devil rolled 1 5-sided die: 2 Apothic Devil: He gave chuckle and simply shook his head at her first comment. " Bits. " Was all he said . Not everyone could pick up on Papa's sarcasim. " Was a joke. " He starte to open the box when she got in a hurry to start slapping things on her. Asking about the red box as she was peeling her zipper down, looked like she was stripping.. yet dressing. Shaking his head he was moving to the next box he found opening. " Teeth " was all he said. Maybe not but for her she'd get a few dozen stings and papa tended to talk in short talk or code. Whether he meant to or not. Dealing with spirits in his head all the time he got use to talking his own languages sometimes. He could answere a ghost and person with one word if it was cryptic enough. Looking down now he he looked at it for a few minutes before she was telling him what to do. His eyes flashed green before he closed the box. Eyes returning back to normal in seconds having intensified his sense of smell Trying to gather how long the dried blood had been in the box. Old. Very old. Not a good sign. " Don' open that one either... dirty.. dirty clothes " Moving to her he grabbed the pads looking at them, then at her and back. First he grapped one and tried to slap it at his forearm with.. nothing. Eyes looked at her then it again and he slapped one on his knee watchng it attached. Slapping them on he covered the fronts of his knees, shins, and thighs. Leaving the back fully uncovered. Pads were rolled up to prevent attachement as he slid them in his left cargo pocket now. Stuck shirtless. Poor JSS Head had to continue looking at the bared chest of Papa. Paint, necklaces, and just to the far left middle ab the somewhat new scar she saw him earn getting shot in their hostage situation. " Ya know.. you mus bring de bad ju ju " He said lookin at her " First I get shot.. now I get stuck here wh'cha now . Not to mention you don' even know you smell ya been playing with creatures out in da jungle all day. Bad ju ju indeed I say " Of course none of it was her fault but hell.. she was currently the only connection to his most recent events he had -d- Black Death Pyke: || C h o i c e s ; she was thirsty and hungry for more than one kind of appetite and the options didn't look familiar at all. The only thing Niema knew for sure was that she was on a Space Station, not a ship. She knew this because of the way the vibrations felt; she'd grown up on a station and various ships, never actually set foot on an actual land mass. Of Rec Room 1 and the Common Room the colder space looked more promising to her, more open with possibility where the other room appeared walled off. Had she any technical skills of note, she might have tried the databooths but she was a sensory investigative sort. Pushing with her arms she launched herself feet first so when she got to that side it wouldn't be her head someone shot at-assuming it too was without gravity. She was wrong, human-- it couldn't be helped, though it was a lighter gravity so the pull wasn't like a lead weight and she landed with the quiet grace of a prowling cat. Her hair was still pulled back into that braided ponytail so it was out of her face and line of sight which she ticked around the Common Room with a calculated observation; taking inventory of what was where. Her body was well aware of how much colder it was here, 62 fucking degrees, she was freezing and keeping the shiver at bay by sheer force of will. It was the movement of people that caught her attention, toward the aft end of the room past the Lift she assumed only went to more trouble. She cocked her head a little to the right and walked leading with her right side toward them, keeping that marred mouth sealed shut as her eyes licked off of the man and woman and then to the room they were in without actually stepping past the Lift. She just stood there like the animal everyone so often proclaimed her to be, watching with a curious and skeptic interest. ||[d] OnlineHost: Bound but free rolled 1 5-sided die: 2 Bound but free: ::Bit it was, Tekbits to be more exact, and for a moment, the blonde woman squatting and peering into bags of tek-bits in the port-aft corner of the room wondered what she'd do with it all. That is, before she was reminded this was probably a test. An evaluation of some-sort to follow-up after the Diner incident on midway. Maybe the JSS were trying to see if she knew anything, if she could be trusted. Maybe they thought she was selling secrets(she knew plenty) and wanted to see if she'd weigh herself down with tek-bits and run after nearly being kindnapped by an armed force. It didn't help that everyone seemed to be accusing her of being the source of the troubles. Well, except Echonia and the giant who disappeared. In an absent-minded gesture to look about for him again, she spotted the woman watching them and jumped like a frog from her squat, stumbled back into the crates and made the red boxes shudder and humm, causing her to jolt hard in the other direction and crash over the crate and into the dirty bag of clothes on the otherside. Of course, you must realize the woman she was looking at was covered in blood and not wearing and shirt and glossy with a sheen of sweat she could almost swear was steaming off the edges of the woman's silhouette next to the lift. After the painted-man popping out of the locked room, she wasn't prepared for the Underboss and made quite the racket in her over-reaction to her startled senses. Maybe it was the orange glow, but Niema looked....scary... not the kind of person you want to meet on a derelict station that disappeared from space just after the 2nd wave. They're lucky she didn't scream.::-d Apothic Devil: He was going to go for that last box but well he saw a key pad and already knew better. He looked over his shoulder at the sudden sounds of the stumbling JSS. Eyes looked up to spot Niema. Brow lifted. He felt like he was on Outter Limits.. or Twilight Zone. That was if he had ever seen such a show. He was in a Ghost Ship.. least that's what he called the station. He woke up floating and now was seeing people that last he saw were being held hostage with him. Are they still being held hostage. Did that bullet effect him more then he knew. Looking at Ash, she as now in the box of clothes. Slow sigh and shake of his head as he moved over ,reaching down to offer her a hand. If taken he would take it and help pull her to her feet. " I thought you Jss-heads were suppose to have some back bone. " He said looking over at Niema now. Her blood wasn't stale. Blood covered and escaped the scene. Granted he offered to help but now, seeing her again and dripping in blood well. It didn't look good on his end. More questions " What ye doin in here with us? " he said . Those eyes had faded to grey, were slowly starting to glow again.Getting brighter and brighter by every passing minute. He wasn't aware when his eyes changed, He just knew it happened. It never crossed his mind what a site it would be to see him start glowing like he was possessed. Specially in the middle of current events -d- Black Death Pyke: || S c a r e d ; the woman appeared to be or startled anyway considering the way she tumbled around the room tripping over herselfs-- atleast Nie wasn't the only one barefoot though. Like a living statue she stood watch as the black man with the white skelton-design body paint eyed her and moved to the tripped blonde. She watched him help the JSS woman up and then look back to her bloody body with a skeptic expression she wasn't sure she liked, or maybe that was the body paint and glowing eyes she assumed were augmented; saw a lot of weird shit on the Underside. His question seemed honest enough, like he had no more idea why she was there than she did. Seeing the two of them remind her od the diner, though she'd been out during part of the hostage situation, was there a connection there? She made him wait for her reply while she took a slow relaxed breath and straightened her head to lift her chin just slightly. Her scarred lips a mild snear in that smirk of amusement which came with the husky tones of her voice nonchalantly giving him a non-answer.||" Maybe in time I'll think about telling you. " || She didn't rile easy and had observed enough of the room to know they were looking through its contents before she interrupted. She was good at looking like she knew things others didn't and now was no different even if that seemed like the wrong thing to do. Niema was all but daring them to try to get the information from her, what she may or may not know, though she spoke none of it. Limber five-eight frame was turned back toward the Common Room with a primal grace that continued into her stride. Locked doors, she couldn't do anything about locked doors and hadn't yet looked at the Common Room properly-- the foggy Security Room dead ahead to the bow of the station was last on her list. She knew trouble when she saw it even if she had no idea what that room actually was. Assuming neither of them stopped her, she was going toward the port wall on the other side of the Vault hallway. ||[d] Bound but free: ::The scared JSS Officer had little hope of regaining her dignity and prayed to the stars that her brothers never got ahold of that clip, not bothering to look for cameras because she was sure she wouldn't find them. That is, until she remembered she grabbed a couple bits of tech from that secret room! Seeing Cain offer her his hand, she accidentally looked up the length of dark skin painted white as bone and draped in bracelets that chimed at her to his bare chest, Q groaned inwardly and reached up to accept his offer anyway. Lowering and almost closing her eyes as she slipped her smaller hand into his grasp and held on tight to pull herself up on his leverage, the JSS officer blushed even harder at his quip. He was right, she SHOULD have more backbone, but damnit, she was strong-armed into the JSS on account of knowing too much and fuck if she could admit that to him! So, the Jissy huffed softly and pouted before mumbling a:: Thanks ::while she took her hand from his a little too quick for a normal person; clearly not wanting to touch him. More importantly, wanting to get that tech, and MORE importantly, turning her green eyes away from the glow of Cain's eyes to the darkness of Niema's as she gave that piss-poor response.:: What? No... unless you arranged all this; and let me tell you, it's really starting to look like you did; you'll give us something. ::Or what? Well, she didn't have an answer for that, but she was hoping it wouldn't come to that. Q might ask if that was enough backbone for Cain, but the truth was, she didn't care- she was just paranoid and skeptical. Of course, before anyone could answer her, Q freed the device from her pocket and suddenly blinked out of the room. Gone just like Zach had! FrEaKy!!!::-d TO BE CONTINUED
